The project proposes a comprehensive renewal of the clinic’s entrance image, accompanied by a substantial improvement in its functionality and conditions of use. The intervention responds to the need to update the space following the progressive incorporation of new medical technologies in recent years, seeking for the architecture to express this qualitative shift and to reinforce patient confidence from the very first contact with the building. The new identity is constructed through a careful selection of materials that evoke precision, cleanliness, and asepsis—qualities inherent to architecture for healthcare. Pristine surfaces, thoughtfully chosen textures, and a controlled color palette reinforce a contemporary atmosphere in which a sense of order and care becomes central. Lighting plays an important role in the spatial experience. Behind the reception desks, a series of lighting fixtures creates a subtle chromatic gradient that changes gently over time. This feature introduces a dynamic and perceptual element that accompanies and subtly entertains patients during the waiting period, without becoming intrusive. Moving away from the traditional logic of medical waiting rooms, the project aims to create a warm and relaxed environment. The waiting area is organized with comfortable seating, incorporates vegetation, and avoids the rigid tandem seating typically associated with clinical spaces. This approach contributes to a more domestic and welcoming atmosphere, reducing the stress associated with waiting and fostering a more humane experience. The intervention also addresses accessibility improvements. The main entrance is redesigned, incorporating a new ramp integrated into the overall composition and rebuilding the entry stair, ensuring a clear, safe, and accessible route for all users. In this way, the project brings together technology, comfort, and functionality, resulting in a contemporary space that conveys trust, professionalism, and care. An architecture that not only responds to technical requirements but also places the patient’s experience at the center of the design.
