Located on a tree-lined street in the city of Mendoza, Vino Bien is a specialty wine shop that offers an immersive shopping experience, articulated through architecture. The project is based on the premise that wine is not just a product, but a culture that deserves to be exhibited, narrated, and shared. The store is organized as an enveloping journey where the shelves not only store but also shape the space. A series of wooden perimeter modules house the bottle displays, creating a constant rhythm that guides circulation and offers various forms of visual and physical access to the products. Materiality plays a central role: the predominant use of wood in ceilings and furniture creates a warm, domestic atmosphere, contrasted by surfaces made of recycled metal — inverted tin cans — in the service counters and display areas. This combination strikes a balance between rusticity and refinement, aligned with the character of wine as a noble and artisanal product. Tables feature handcrafted iron legs, further reinforcing this material identity. Lighting was carefully designed to support this narrative: spotlights highlight labels and textures, while warm ambient lighting bathes the space, turning it into an intimate, almost ceremonial setting. At the back, a tasting bar embodies the idea of gathering and extends the experience beyond the act of purchasing. The connection with the exterior is resolved through a large front opening that establishes a fluid relationship with the sidewalk, visually linking the interior with urban life. The façade, sober and contemporary, discreetly frames the entrance, prioritizing the continuity of the interior towards the public space. Thus, Vino Bien is conceived as a sensory experience space, where architecture, light, and materiality accompany the ritual of choosing, discovering, and sharing wines. A project that translates the world of wine into a coherent, immersive, and deeply Mendoza-inspired spatiality.
