Located in Chacras de Coria, Casa Flecha is a contemporary retreat immersed in a natural setting, conceived as a place of gathering where architecture establishes a fluid dialogue with the landscape. Set within a wooded site, the house is composed of a series of steel-framed volumes with pitched roofs, creating a fragmented composition that defines distinct areas of use while strengthening the relationship with its surroundings. The main volume contains the common living areas, while the two flanking volumes accommodate the bedrooms and private spaces. The volumes are uniformly clad in corrugated metal sheeting, giving the ensemble a cohesive identity and character. The continuity of the central volume is achieved through the use of perforated metal panels, creating an effect of dematerialization that adds lightness and enhances the connection with the outdoors. Black perforated metal screens and glazed enclosures reinforce this sense of permeability, while the fragmented arrangement of the volumes generates courtyards and intermediate spaces that promote cross ventilation and integration with the surrounding landscape. Inside, walls and ceilings are entirely clad in Slovenian oak, providing warmth and a sense of comfort that contrasts with the robustness of the steel structure. Continuous flooring reinforces the restrained and cohesive aesthetic of the interior, creating a harmonious and contemporary atmosphere. The double-height living space is complemented by a steel mezzanine that accommodates a work and relaxation area, enriched by vegetation that brings freshness and life into the space. Within the social area, a fireplace suitable for both indoor and outdoor use becomes a focal point, providing comfort during the colder months. The outdoor spaces complement the living experience with an open-air shower, a suspended net above the deck, and a barbecue area designed for gathering with friends. The quincho, conceived as an extension of the gallery, reinforces the social character of the project, whose architecture sensitively reflects the personality of its owner. All garden furniture was developed in collaboration with a local artist using timber from a tree that had to be removed during construction. More than a traditional house, Casa Flecha is conceived as a contemporary retreat that balances robustness and lightness, proposing a flexible way of living in close connection with its natural surroundings.
